LED
technology is by now clearly carving out its role also
in cinema and television lighting. IANIRO did not loose
this chance and devoted all its R&D ressources to
this new technology. With LEDs, IANIRO name is again
innovating in this industry as it did in the '50s and
'60s, when the former family company created very compact fresnel
spotlights, powerful arc daylights for film and the most
popular portable lighting range in the world,
still today the most imitated in our industry.
Introduced at IBC 07 and advertised on the major
international press including American Cinematographer
of course, the products have been awarded the TVB
Europe Best of Show Editor's Award. The first Ianiro family
of LEDs lighting fixtures is ready for the distributors since the end of
last year and will make their first US public appearance at NAB 08.
IANILEDs range represents a fresh concept in the field of LED tv
and film lighting, having introduced an effective, functional and adjustable
system to perform high CRI values and homogeneous chromatic emission calibrated
for use in recording images as we are going to explain.
The idea inspiring the design of this first family was to offer DOPs
and cameramen powerful and controllable key light with long distance throw,
rather than just a close-up soft fill light as it was generally available
from the industry so far. Having in mind this priority (that matches, we
believe, IANIRO product line DNA) we looked for appropriate optics suited
to the high power LEDs selected combining them to a quick release device
for changing them on the set whilst shooting. At the same time, thanks
to the dimmer and additional diffusers if needed, the IANILEDs may help
also as handy soft fill light. A true versatile system.
IANILEDs feature the last generation technology not only in the optical
design but in every aspect, including electronics for control and
mechanic construction. We must remember that not all LEDs deliver the same
lumen maintenance. An LED is a complex package of materials that must all
work together to deliver long lifetimes. Everything from the design of
the chip, thermal management, optics material, phosphors and even the assembly
of the entire package will affect lumen maintenance.
That's why IANILEDs feature advanced metal core ceramic coated PCBs
and silver transmitters, improving substantially the electronic transparency,
the reliability and the heat dissipation compared to the common epoxy aluminium
MCPCBs. Last but not least they feature an innovative design
that ensures an excellent conventional cooling and an eye-catching look. |
